It was father Pio, the virgin with the child Jesus in her arms and saint Joseph. The virgin was wearing a long and luxurious white robe, with a blue sash. Her hair was black, her face rosy and soft. The child Jesus was enchantingly beautiful, all white, with skyblue eyes and blond curly hair. He was smiling, and I asked her with confidence if she would put him down, as I wanted to see him walk. The virgin complied with my request and told me that she would come again. Saint Joseph promised me that he, too, would return. When this multiple extraordinary vision disappeared, I continued praying." (italics added)

Consequently, not all would go that way after night fall. There is a belief about Yakshis--white clothes, long hair, ... . The Yakshi at the hospital too had all that. It was the base of the well known 'Dam Bursters Squadron' which bombed and destroyed the huge dams in the Ruhr area of Germany. Their wing commander Guy Gibson had a pet dog named Nigger. The black Labrador died in a car accident. It was buried at the air field itself. The grave is still there. So is its ghost! Five people once saw Nigger's ghost. It ran along the runway right into the officers' mess. It did not produce any sound as it ran. Nor did it pay any attention to them. Snow had fallen on the runway. But there were no foot-prints on the snow. It was confirmed on enquiries that several others too had seen the same dog's ghost before. ... (translated from the Malayälam--Ed.) (italics added)
